Our new goal is $225,000

Join us and help  EVERY
student on campus!

The Foundation and PTSA are joining forces, for the first time ever, to conduct one joint fundraising drive for the 2020-21 school year. As we work together to address the school’s needs in the era of COVID-19, your support is needed more than ever! The Foundation and PTSA are working closely with the school to fill emerging gaps and keep our students on track and learning.

No membership fee required and 100% of your donation goes straight to the school. Your donation to this all-school fundraising drive supports critical programs that benefit every SBHS student.

Funded projects include

Join us to be #SBHSStrong!

Your donations will

…support the mental health needs of students.

Your donations allow SBHS to hire an additional on campus mental health counselors so when students need help, they can access it IMMEDIATELY! In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, we expect a dramatic rise in our already high caseload.

…help SBHS re-open safely.

So far, we have allocated $25,000 to help purchase 25 outdoor tents, 10 HVAC systems for the library and classrooms, outdoor tables, etc., so that we are READY when students return to campus. Stay up to date on the school reopening through ParentSquare emails and participating in the SB Unified School District Board meetings.

…prepare students for college and career.

Your support of credentialed staff in the College and Career Center, means that we will be able to tailor support for your student the time of COVID-19. Spencer Barr is working virtually to keep your student on track with applications, scholarships, financial aide, virtual college visits, etc.

…ignite teacher creativity and student learning.

Learning Enrichment Grants (LEG), a program of the PTSA, allow teachers to provide peak learning experiences for students — from impactful field trips, to inspiring speakers, to special classroom resources. Help us inspire your student!

…give students what they need to keep them in school and thriving.

Half of our families qualify for the free & reduced lunch (an indicator of poverty) and 1 in 10 meets the federal definition of homeless. Your donations pay for basic things — like food and bus passes — to keep these kids in school. For more information, see #SBHSStrong.

…and so much more.

Your donations pay for everything from breakfast at all staff meetings, to AP tests for low-income students, to instructional materials in the science labs.
